We had a wonderful three-night stay at Mellguards Cottage in Howtown. The accommodation exceeded our expectation. It has been beautifully updated throughout, with a fully equipped kitchen with a middle isle, and stylish and comfortable living spaces and dining area. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the whole cottage feels very comfortable while retaining its warmth and character. It is also ideally located, with easy access to many of the Lake District’s attractions. The perfect place to relax and explore the area—we would highly recommend Mellguards Cottage and would happily stay again!

Had a 3 night stay here and couldn’t fault anything, great communication from start to finish as well, apartment had everything you needed, washing machine, dishwasher, some toiletries, soaps/cloths, washing/dishwasher tablets etc. hair dryer, every kitchen utensil you can think of. Great location, beautifully finished, would definitely recommend!

Very nice accommodation, well looked after and clean.
But more than that, some of the best customer service I think I’ve come across. It’s refreshing to meet a group of people who to actually care about their customers experience and go out of their way to assist where they can.

I can’t say enough for how they helped with some challenging situations. A great team and highly, highly recommend staying in one of the places they manage.

I have been thoroughly impressed from the off with the level and quality of communication from Laik. Life is so much easier when things are clear and information is at your fingertips, no surprises.

This then extended to the accommodation, what an amazing place Tysons Place is. Beautiful modernisation with all the features you want in a perfect location. All the small features have been covered that make such a difference and make your visit feel more special.

We enjoyed it that much we have already rebooked.

Walked into the property Tethera and it was so clean and tidy. There was plenty of utensils and cups plates bowls etc.
The bathrooms were super clean and plenty of towels were provided.
The beds had fresh clean bedding on.

This place was amazing. So well-equipped and well-appointed. The owners’ attention to detail made our stay extra fun, with thoughtful touches throughout. They even provided fresh baked bread, fresh milk, and butter to ease our entry. And as a bonus, a bottle of prosecco! Highly recommend this lovely Lake District cottage in the middle of everything!

We hired an Air B&B through Laik Luxury Holiday Cottages.
The company was very efficient with friendly and helpful staff.
They had described the cottage accurately and were always on hand to answer any questions.
The stay was very relaxing because of their professionalism and attention.
I would definitely hire through their company again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

I found Laik by chance and would highly recommend booking though them. We stayed in Tethera and it was s stunning house in a beautiful location. The comms from Laik and info is great, booklets and guides are provided with what to do in the local area and all about the property.

Amazing flat with gorgeous interior and view . We loved the homely feel , great quality and standard and the convenience of having all equipment accessible, one of our favorite stay overall. The team taking care of the place was very responsive from the first enquiry, proactive with practical details and very accommodating. Every question was answered quickly and thoughtfully, which made the whole arrival and departure experience genuinely seamless. Highly recommend for anyone who values that kind of attentiveness.

Laid have been great for renting the holiday property in Windermere we have just returned from. Accurate advertising, easy to contact, they return calls quickly and are very friendly and professional. Kate especially.
They provided superb easy to follow email with info on the property, check in procedure and local area info as well.
Even on the day we travelled there I managed to get a 1pm early check in instead of 4pm. It made such a difference to a short 2 night stay.
Would highly recommend this company. And I will use them again. Thanks all :))

The cottage is lovely and has been done to a good specification; the main bathroom is especially nice. It’s also in a good location. The only downside, I would say, is that it would be nice if the outside space at the back was a bit more attractive and usable but that’s only a small irritant. Would be very happy to stay again.

Really nice and well kept property. Only a 15 minute walk in to Windermere itself so was ideal for our trip.
Only negative would be slight smell of dog on arrival but nothing a bit of spray didn’t fix.

My friends and I have just spent a very enjoyable 2 nights in Ambleside at the aspen suite in the old bank house,the accommodation was very clean and spacious,it had everything nessasary for our stay ,I would highly recommend the apartment it’s in a very good place for all amenities.

Had an absolutely fantastic stay at this holiday cottage in the Lake District booked through Laik. The cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The views were stunning and the location was perfect — peaceful and secluded, but still close enough to local pubs, shops, and great walking routes.

The little touches really made a difference, and it truly felt like a home away from home. Waking up to the scenery each morning was incredible. The team at Laik were also excellent — communication was smooth, everything was well organised, and the whole booking process was seamless from start to finish.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and we’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend both the cottage and Laik to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Lakes

We had a 4 day stay in Ambleside and Laik Ltd were the perfect company to book through. The booking was simple, the apartment itself was outstanding and the information pack and communication we received in advance of the stay as well as during the stay from Laik had everything we needed to make our stay the best it could be. Just spent a weekend break with visitors from the US in Windermere. We were all delighted with the house which is managed by Laik, it was spacious, beautifully appointed and had everything we could possibly need. I was particularly impressed with Laik’s professional customer service from the booking to departure. Communication was excellent and the staff were so helpful and understanding. Beautiful house . Everything u need so well thought out . Location is fab . 5 min walk into town with lovely little shops and eateries. 20 min drive to Ambleside which is beautiful

Stayed at Squirrel bank cottage for 2 nights with my partner and 1 year old, the property was immaculate and so accommodating. Had everything we needed and felt very homely, hot tub was in a nice setting we used it a few times while staying. Great location nice and quiet but still not far all to the lake and shops/pubs/restaurants. Would definitely stay again

We stayed as a family for our daughter’s 18th birthday and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The home was spotless, beautifully presented and had such a cosy, welcoming feel. It was the perfect setting for a special family celebration.

The host was brilliant with communication and made everything so easy from check-in to checkout. The little touches around the property made our stay feel extra thoughtful.

The location was great too — peaceful, safe and close to everything we needed. We genuinely had a lovely stay and made some amazing memories here.

Laik Was superb from the moment we booked the property in ullswater, The property was superb. It was idyllic, peaceful and perfect. What really helped was the communication we had from the start of the booking, And the guidance and support throughout our stay.

As the property is quite remote It would’ve been difficult to find and access if we didn’t have such clear Instruction from the beginning.

I will definitely be using Laik Again for the next trip to the Lake District

We had a wonderful stay at Springfield Cottage in Windermere, managed by Laik Luxury Holiday Cottages. The house is beautifully renovated with great attention to detail, and the view from the property is absolutely stunning — a perfect spot to relax and take in the surroundings.

Communication with the Laik team was smooth and efficient from the start, and the check-in process was seamless. Throughout our stay, the team was very responsive and helpful, making sure everything was in place for a comfortable experience.
