Niall Mellonie is the Managing Director and co-founder of Laik, a holiday let management company based in Windermere in the Lake District.

Since 2019, Niall has led the renovation and design of holiday cottages across the Lakes, turning underperforming properties into some of the highest-occupancy short-term rentals in the region.

Laik’s managed portfolio runs at over 50% higher year-round occupancy than the Lake District National Park average.

Niall’s background is in hospitality and property management, with a focus on the practical link between interior design decisions and booking performance.

He studied at Newcastle University before moving into the holiday let industry.
