  • Accommodation: Three well-appointed bedrooms – downstairs two bedrooms, one double (king-size) and one of the bedrooms has a zip and link bed, offering the option of two singles or a super king (with 7 days notice for setup as super king). Upstairs one double (king-size).
  • Spacious Living Area: An inviting large room for relaxation and connection, complemented by a separate hall.
  • Bathrooms: Two convenient bathrooms – a family bathroom with shower and bath, plus an ensuite shower room.
  • Open Plan Kitchen/Diner: A modern, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area that opens up into the living room, ideal for family meals and gatherings.
  • Parking: A private driveway accommodating up to 4 cars.
  • Outdoor Appeal: Beautifully landscaped gardens with varying levels and stunning views, perfect for nature lovers.

Inside Yewbeck:

Step into the spacious hallway, the gateway to the heart of Yewbeck. Here, you’ll find the open-plan kitchen, diner, and living room – a space designed for comfort and socialising. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, ready for your culinary adventures. The living room, with its cosy furnishings, invites you to unwind and relax.

Downstairs, the two bedrooms are havens of comfort, each with its unique charm. One bedroom, depending on your needs, can be arranged with two single beds or joined to create a super king. Just let us know your preference in advance. The family bathroom offers the choice of a soothing bath or a refreshing shower, while the second bathroom serves as a convenient ensuite.

Upstairs, discover a spacious king-size bed and a small sitting area with 2 chairs.

Guests will have full access to the main house, including the reception rooms, dining kitchen, and all bedrooms. The delightful gardens are also open for you to explore and relax in.

Welcome to Yewbeck! We’re delighted to have you stay with us. To ensure a pleasant and safe experience for all our guests, here are some important house rules and things to note:

1. Garden Safety: The beautiful gardens are multi-leveled with high walls and drops, plus a charming stream running alongside. While they are a delight to explore, they may not be suitable for unsupervised young children. Please keep an eye on the little ones to ensure their safety.

2. Accessibility: The main house and terrace are on a single level, offering ease of access. However, please note that some areas, including the upstairs bedroom, may pose accessibility challenges for infirm or elderly guests.

3. Parking: We offer parking space for up to 4 cars. Do be mindful that there’s a steep slope leading to the house from Lake Road, so please drive carefully.

4. Pet Policy: While Yewbeck isn’t typically a pet-friendly property, we understand that pets are part of the family. We can accommodate one small dog per stay, subject to a few conditions for the comfort and safety of all.

Set in a peaceful residential cul-de-sac, it offers a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle, while still being within easy reach of all the amenities and attractions these popular destinations have to offer.
Bowness-on-Windermere, just a stone’s throw away, is a bustling lakeside town known for its picturesque views of Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England. Here, you can enjoy a variety of water-based activities, explore quaint shops, and dine at a wide range of eateries catering to all tastes. The town is also home to the World of Beatrix Potter attraction, making it a perfect spot for family outings.
Windermere, equally close, offers a more laid-back atmosphere with its charming local shops, cafes, and traditional pubs. The town is an ideal starting point for exploring the scenic beauty of the Lake District, whether you’re taking a leisurely cruise on the lake or embarking on a hike up to Orrest Head for panoramic views of the surrounding fells.

Yewbeck provides the best of both worlds – a quiet, cosy base for relaxation and privacy, with the adventure and excitement of the Lake District’s most beloved towns just moments away.

Getting around

Buses:

You’re in luck, as there’s a wealth of bus services running in and around Windermere. Just a stone’s throw away from our property, you’ll find bus stops that’ll connect you to the best of the Lake District.

Bus Route 555, for instance, offers a scenic ride between Lancaster and Keswick, passing through Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, and more. For trips towards Bowness, Kendal, or Newby Bridge, check out Bus Routes 6, 6X, and 599. And don’t forget Route 599, it’s an open-top service during the summer – perfect for soaking up those breathtaking views!

Trains:

If you’re venturing further afield, Windermere train station is just a 5-minute taxi ride away (or 20 mins walk). With regular services to Oxenholme Lake District station, it conveniently links you with the West Coast mainline. This means you’re directly connected to major UK cities like London, Glasgow, Manchester, and Birmingham – making your journeys a breeze!
