Welcome to Walker’s Cottage, a cosy Lakeland home from home
Tucked away on a peaceful street just a 10-minute walk from Windermere and 20 minutes from Bowness, Walker’s Cottage is a charming terraced retreat surrounded by the beauty of the Lake District National Park. It’s a warm and welcoming base for families or small groups looking to explore the fells, lakes, and local life at their own pace.
Step inside to a spacious living room, where two comfy sofas are gathered around the Smart TV and a gas log-burner-style fire, perfect for getting cosy after a day on the hills. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with everything from a large fridge/freezer to a dishwasher and washer/dryer to make your stay that little bit easier.
Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a sleek en-suite shower room, plus a modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Head up again to the top floor and you’ll find a spacious twin room and a cosy single bedroom.
Outside, there’s a sweet front garden with a table and chairs for morning coffees or evening drinks, and a private, secure rear yard with a washing line, handy bike access, and table and chairs. Parking is available on the road outside the cottage.
Windermere is a short wander away, with its cafés, pubs, shops, and restaurants ready to welcome you. There’s even a handy corner shop just a couple of minutes’ walk for any last-minute bits. From your front door, you can stroll down to Bowness for lake cruises, boat hire, or visits to the World of Beatrix Potter. Fancy going further afield? Head to Hill Top, explore the trails in Grizedale Forest, or try your hand at Go Ape if you’re feeling brave.
Whether you’re here to stretch your legs in the hills, potter around the towns, or spend your days by the water, Walker’s Cottage is a laid-back base where you can feel right at home in the Lakes.
