Check-in is from 4pm.
If the cleaning agency has the property ready earlier, we’ll do our best to notify you on the day of your arrival.
Please aim for a 4pm check-in, as we sometimes need the time to address any fixes or replacements between guests to ensure everything is perfect for your stay.

Our standard check-out time is 10am, giving us time to prepare the property for the next guests.
In some properties, we offer a later check-out of 11am for a small additional fee—perfect if you’d like a more relaxed departure.

We understand it can be tricky to manage luggage before check-in or after check-out.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to store luggage at our properties. This is because we work closely with the cleaning agencies, and they require the properties to remain empty during their scheduled cleaning times to ensure everything is perfectly prepared for the next guests.
If you need luggage storage, we recommend checking out local storage services or transport hubs in the area, as many offer convenient and secure options.

We understand that plans can sometimes change, and we aim to be as fair as possible with our cancellation policy:
- Cancel 30 days or more before check-in: You’ll receive a 95% refund of the booking amount.
- Cancel within 48 hours of booking (and at least 14 days before check-in): A 95% refund will be issued.
- Cancel between 14 and 30 days before check-in: You’ll receive a 45% refund of the booking amount.
- Cancel less than 14 days before check-in: Unfortunately, no refund will be available.
If you’d prefer not to lose the 5% banking/administration fee, we’re happy to offer a monetary coupon instead. This coupon will represent 100% or 50% of your booking value (depending on the cancellation timeline) and can be applied toward a future booking at any Laik property within one year. Please note that coupons must be used in full during one transaction, cannot be exchanged for monetary value, and no change will be given.
Please note: These terms only apply to bookings made directly through our website. If your booking was made through an online travel agent (OTA) such as Airbnb, Booking.com, or VRBO, please refer to the cancellation policy advertised on the respective platform. These policies differ from our direct booking terms, and we are unable to offer the same conditions.
We also highly recommend taking out personal holiday cancellation insurance for added peace of mind, as this can help protect your booking from unforeseen circumstances.
Yes, we’re happy to accommodate a change of dates, and we can also move your reservation between properties. However, please note:
- Price Differences: Prices vary between properties. If the new property is more expensive, we’ll charge the difference. If the new property is cheaper, we can refund the difference, but a 5% deduction will be made to cover banking fees associated with the refund.
- Request Timeline: Requests for changes must be made at least one month prior to your original arrival date. Otherwise, our normal cancellation terms will apply.
- Administrative Charge: We reserve the right to charge an administrative fee of £25 (+VAT) for any changes, in addition to any price differences.

We offer a range of properties with different parking options:
- Some have private parking.
- Others come with parking permits for nearby public car parks.
- A few require unreserved street parking.

Pet policies vary across our properties. Some are pet-friendly, while others aren’t. To find out if a property can accommodate your furry friend, please check the individual property listing for specific details.
Please note that a pet fee is usually required for pet-friendly properties. This can typically be added during the booking process on the property payment page as an add-on called “pet fee” (usually around £25 per stay).

To secure a booking directly on our website, full payment is required at the time of booking. However, if your reservation is far in advance, we can offer a split payment plan to reserve the dates.
For split payments, please email us at stay@laik.co.uk, and our team will assist in arranging this for you. Please note that full payment must be made at least 30 days before the check-in date. If payment is not received by this time, the reservation may be canceled.

We trust all our guests to respect and care for our properties, but we understand that sometimes things can go wrong.
At Laik, we reserve the right to place a security deposit on the payment card used for booking. The deposit amount may vary between properties, with the standard range being £200–£500. Please check the listing description under ‘House Rules’ for the specific amount for your booking.
This deposit is not an actual transaction but a temporary hold on your card. It works as a reversal, meaning the amount will simply disappear from your bank statement once refunded. The hold will be released automatically within 10 working days of check-out, provided:
- The property was left clean and tidy, with no damage or missing items.
- The correct number of guests stayed, as per the booking.
- The property was vacated promptly by or before the agreed check-out time.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding!
If you’ve left something behind, we recommend contacting the cleaning agency servicing the property as your first point of contact. They are usually the fastest at retrieving items. Their contact details can be found in our digital guidebooks and the messages we’ve sent you.
Laik is also happy to assist if needed. Any found items will be held for up to 10 days. We can arrange for items to be posted back to you using Royal Mail Tracked service. A £15 handling fee, plus the cost of packaging and postage (payable via BACS transfer), will apply.
