The open-plan kitchen diner, featuring a second log burner and a TV, offers large windows that bathe the room in natural light, perfect for enjoying meals together.

Bedrooms: Sleeps 6 comfortably across three well-appointed bedrooms, including a king, a super king, and a twin room. Each room is crafted to provide a restful night’s sleep in both comfort and style.

Modern Amenities: A newly fitted kitchen packed with all the modern appliances you could need, alongside a pantry for added convenience. A snug room on the lower floor provides a quiet escape for reading or a playful hideout for children.

Outdoor Living: Step outside to a delightful outdoor space, complete with a large dining table for enjoying meals al fresco or sipping morning coffee amidst nature.

Full Access: Guests have full access to the entire house including the garden. 

Ground Floor: Inviting living room with a log burner and a TV, an open-plan kitchen diner with another log burner and a TV, complemented by expansive windows.

Lower Floor: Utility room and a snug room, ideal for leisure or play.

Upper Floor: Three spacious bedrooms, including a king and a super king, plus a twin room, with one bathroom and one ensuite providing ultimate comfort.

Parking: Convenient on-site parking is available, making your stay and travel in the area hassle-free.

🐕 Pet-Friendly (£25 per stay): One well-behaved dog is welcome to join the adventure, ensuring the entire family can enjoy the beauty of the Lakes together (just remember to keep the furniture paw-free).

💳 Damage Deposit: At Laik, we place a £200 deposit hold on your card as a safety measure, ensuring a carefree stay for both you and us. This isn’t a charge, just a temporary hold. Expect this to be set up either the day before you arrive or on your check-in date.

Once you’ve checked out and we’ve made sure everything’s as lovely as when you arrived, we’ll promptly release the hold, freeing up those funds for you. It’s all part of making your stay smooth and secure.

Set in a peaceful residential area, it offers a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle, while still being within easy reach of all the amenities and attractions these popular destinations have to offer.

Bowness-on-Windermere, a lively lakeside town, is nearby, offering water activities, charming shops, and a variety of dining options. It’s also home to the World of Beatrix Potter, perfect for family visits. Windermere, with its relaxed vibe, quaint cafes, and traditional pubs, serves as an ideal base for exploring the Lake District’s stunning landscapes, including a must-see view from Orrest Head.

Crossriggs provides the best of both worlds – a quiet, cosy base for relaxation and privacy, with the adventure and excitement of the Lake District’s most beloved towns just moments away.

Getting around


You’re in luck, as there’s a wealth of bus services running in and around Windermere. Just a stone’s throw away from our property, you’ll find bus stops that’ll connect you to the best of the Lake District.

Bus Route 555, for instance, offers a scenic ride between Lancaster and Keswick, passing through Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, and more. For trips towards Bowness, Kendal, or Newby Bridge, check out Bus Routes 6, 6X, and 599. And don’t forget Route 599, it’s an open-top service during the summer – perfect for soaking up those breathtaking views!


If you’re venturing further afield, Windermere train station is just a 5-minute taxi ride away (or 20 mins walk). With regular services to Oxenholme Lake District station, it conveniently links you with the West Coast mainline. This means you’re directly connected to major UK cities like London, Glasgow, Manchester, and Birmingham – making your journeys a breeze!
