Full Access: Guests have full access to the entire house, including the master and second bedrooms, open-plan kitchen, dining and living area , and the versatile mezzanine level with its cosy sitting area and workspace.

The outdoor area of Tethera is also yours to enjoy, offering a serene spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of the Lake District.

Privacy and Peace: As a detached property, Tethera offers complete privacy, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility of your surroundings.

Parking: Convenient on-site parking is available, making your stay and travel in the area hassle-free.

💳 Damage Deposit: At Laik, we place a £200 deposit hold on your card as a safety measure, ensuring a carefree stay for both you and us. This isn’t a charge, just a temporary hold. Expect this to be set up either the day before you arrive or on your check-in date.

Once you’ve checked out and we’ve made sure everything’s as lovely as when you arrived, we’ll promptly release the hold, freeing up those funds for you. It’s all part of making your stay smooth and secure.

1. Neighbourhood Respect: The Lake District is known for its peaceful ambiance. We kindly ask that you respect this serenity and consider our neighbours during your stay.

2.Boundary Restrictions: Please do not venture beyond the gates to the Outward Bound Centre at the end of the lane. They have strict safeguarding policies for the children visiting the centre. Trespassing could lead to being asked to leave.

3.Private Fields: The surrounding fields are private property. We request that you respect these boundaries and note that there is no direct access to them or the lake from Tethera.

4.Security: Ensure all doors are securely closed and locked when you leave the property.

  • Comfortable Environment: The Passivhaus design ensures a draft-free, pleasant indoor climate. While the temperature can fluctuate slightly, the house’s insulation and airtight construction maintain overall comfort.
  • Eco-Friendly Features: Expect a different approach to temperature control, with less reliance on traditional heating systems and more on sustainable, natural heat sources.

Security: There is a security camera in the door bell (it is recorded but not monitored).

Parking: Please park on the gravel by the drystone wall. There is space for two cars.
