The space

Welcome to Your Windermere Hideaway!

Situated in the heart of Windermere village, this chic and newly-refurbished property is the perfect spot for you and your crew to explore the South Lakes. With top-notch restaurants just a toss away, and Lake Windermere within a quick drive or bus ride (heck, you can even walk!), you’ll be spoilt for choice on what to do next!

Inside the Space:

Spread across three floors, the ground level greets you with a private entrance and a practical hallway – perfect for storing those muddy boots after a day’s hike. Two dog crates are also located here.

On the first floor, you’ll find a spacious open-plan area combining the kitchen, dining, and lounge. You can rustle up some grub, dine, and kick back with the telly all in one spot! Don’t worry about the basics – we’ve got your salt, pepper, cooking oil, tea, and coffee covered. You’ll also find a WC here, for convenience.

A flight of stairs takes you up to the second floor, where two roomy, en-suite bedrooms await. The bathrooms includes Pure Lakes shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. We’ve also got you covered with a small and large bath towel each.

The bedrooms feature a comfortable king beds and if you’re not quite ready for sleep, there are another TVs in there for you.

Just a heads up – there’s no lift, so this property suits those fine with stairs.

This three-storey apartment boasts its own private entrance, facing the charming Ellerthwaite Square. Rest assured, you won’t be sharing this entrance with anyone else – it’s all yours!

The apartment is conveniently situated above the acclaimed Hooked Seafood restaurant, perfect for food enthusiasts.

Forget about the usual check-in fuss. We’ve set up a key safe right next to the front door for an easy self-check-in process.

As for parking, we’ve got you covered. You can find free on-street parking directly outside the building on Ellerthwaite Square or within a short 1-5 minute walk. If you prefer, there’s also a paid parking lot at Broad Street Car Park, just a couple of minutes’ walk away. We’ll send you more details about parking after booking.

It’s just a brief drive or bus ride away, or if you fancy a walk, it’s a comfortable 25-minute stroll. Once there, don’t miss out on the Windermere Lake Cruises boat trips – you can explore the lake’s charming islands or even venture up to Ambleside.

Parking and Transport:

While there is free on-street parking right outside the property and across the road, it can get a bit tight and we can’t always guarantee a spot. But no worries! There’s a pay-and-display car park just a 2-minute walk away.

For your roaming needs, you’re well-connected here. A bus stop, just a minute’s walk away, opens up the vast expanse of the Lake District for you. And if you’re planning a longer journey, Windermere train station is a handy 5-minute walk from our door

 

Buses:

You’re in luck, as there’s a wealth of bus services running in and around Windermere. Just a stone’s throw away from the property, you’ll find bus stops that’ll connect you to the best of the Lake District.

Bus Route 555, for instance, offers a scenic ride between Lancaster and Keswick, passing through Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, and more. For trips towards Bowness, Kendal, or Newby Bridge, check out Bus Routes 6, 6X, and 599. And don’t forget Route 599, it’s an open-top service during the summer – perfect for soaking up those breathtaking views!

Trains:

If you’re venturing further afield, Windermere train station is just a 5-minute walk away. With regular services to Oxenholme Lake District station, it conveniently links you with the West Coast mainline. This means you’re directly connected to major UK cities like London, Glasgow, Manchester, and Birmingham – making your journeys a breeze!
