Say hello to No.6 Biskey Howe, our ongoing renovation project. Set in the heart of Bowness, this Georgian beauty called out to our team at Laik in early 2023. We fell head over heels for its high ceilings, intricate cornicing, and the sense of history it carried. We just couldn’t resist the opportunity to sprinkle some Laik magic on it!
When we first stepped in, we found it in need of some TLC. It had its quirks – outdated electrics and water tank, and the plasterwork bore marks of past leaks. Nothing that could scare our eager team though! We rolled up our sleeves, embraced the challenge, and started getting our hands dirty.
Fast forward to today, we’re in the thick of it, and it’s an exhilarating ride! The new water tank is in place, electrics are up-to-date, and fresh plaster graces the walls. New bathroom, kitchen and flooring have been fitted. Now, we’re in the exciting phase of painting the interiors, choosing the perfect shades to highlight this property’s period charm. In a fortnight, it’ll be time for the grand furniture reveal. We can’t wait!
